I first met Takaya in early 2018 when he arrived in San Francisco on vacation from his home country of Japan. A vintage enthusiast, he knew exactly what he wanted down to the millimeter. The seams are constructed to be reproduce a single stitch method seen in vintage Levis dating to 1890 and mixed well with the deep arches on the back pockets of early jeans. Subtle details such as the white back pocket tab and arch stitch on the coin pocket compliment the sleek Japanese fabric. An exact replica was made for his wife Maki before their vacation ended.
